iOS: Changing a Patient's Gender to Non-Binary
iOS: Changing a Patient's Gender to Non-Binary
Updated over a week ago

1. From the AR mobile app, go to the Patient's timeline, and click the three dots to bring up the options. Then click on the profile. You can also set the gender when you create a new patient. Please note that for eRX, the national Surescripts network will only accept Male / Female so this may have to be reset when prescribing for a non-binary patient.

2. Click the editing pencil.

3. Unless a gender has already been chosen by the patient in the patient portal or from a prior procedure, the default will be "None Selected." Click the dropdown, and you will have an option to now choose "Female, Male or Non-Binary."

4. Once "Non-Binary" is selected, you will need to choose which body template to prompt for charting. Note: while the Patient can choose their gender from the Patient Portal, they cannot choose their body template.

5. If you choose the female body template, you will see the Non-Binary face chart & female body template.

6. If you choose the male body body template, you will see it in conjunction with the non-binary face template.

7. Tap here to start!
