ID Tech VP3300 is a compact, Bluetooth-based 3-in-1 EMV card reader designed to allow magnetic stripe reads (MSR), ICC (chip card) reads, and contactless transactions (via NFC technology). This device when paired with an iOS device, android device or connected to a windows mobile device via a Micro USB cable allows merchants to accept credit card payments “on the go”.

Using Your Bluetooth Card Reader
Pairing Card Reader with Smart Phone or Tablet
Fully charge the device before using it for the first time. Allow 4-6 hours for the initial charge.
To charge the unit: Use a USB to micro-USB cable to charge the unit. A LED battery indicator displays current battery charging status.
The bottom LED (closest to bottom edge of unit; furthest from the ID TECH logo displays solid red when battery is connected to power and charging.
The LED flashes amber, the battery is low and needs to be charged.
The LED stops flashing when connected to a power source and the battery is full.
2.After fully charging the battery, enable the Bluetooth setting on your smart phone or tablet. You will not need to pair the card reader through the Bluetooth settings on your smart phone or tablet, the Bluetooth Low Energy technology will pair with the mobile payment app that you have installed.

The Bluetooth LED is off: Bluetooth is in sleep mode.
The LED flashes a steady blue light: Bluetooth is on stand-by waiting to pair
The LED flashes blue every 5 seconds: The Bluetooth is paired and connected.
Taking a Payment
After following the directions provided by your mobile payment provider to process a transaction, press the power button (see picture below) on the side of the card reader to activate the Bluetooth signal
Once connected, insert or swipe card to take payment

What do the lights on the front of my card reader mean?
These lights are indicators for Contactless transactions
When processing a contactless transaction, all 4 LED lights will flash green simultaneously to indicate a successful transaction
What do the three lights on the back of the reader mean?
The top light is the Bluetooth indicator
The Bluetooth LED is off: Bluetooth is in sleep mode.

The center light is the transaction and low battery indicator
Chip Transactions
Flashes Amber –The transaction has been completed.
Flashes solid green for two seconds – Transaction is successful, please remove card
Magstripe Transactions
Flashes solid green for two seconds for a successful transaction
Flashes solid red for two seconds for a failed transaction, swipe card again.
The light will stay a solid amber color when charging is required
The bottom light is the charging indicator
When plugged in and charging this light will be red
When the card reader is fully charged the light will turn off
Will my card reader stay connected to my smart phone or tablet?
Yes, if powered via the USB cable.
No, if operating on battery power. If the unit is operating on battery power, it will go to sleep after 255 seconds of idling, to extend battery life.
Knowing when to charge your card reader
The middle light on the back of the card reader will turn amber
Can I take transactions when my card reader is charging?
Yes, you are able pair and take transactions while the card reader is charging
