Q: Do I need to sign up for Sunbit separately?

A: No. For practices using Stripe as their payment processor, Sunbit can be easily enabled with a single toggle under POS Settings on the Web. No additional signup or integration work is required.

Q: Can I use Sunbit if I'm using Clearent for payment processing?

A: No. Currently, Sunbit is only available for practices using Stripe as their payment processor.

Enabling & Disabling Sunbit

Q: Is Sunbit automatically enabled in my account?

A: No, Sunbit will not be automatically enabled, however the Main Admin can enable with a single toggle through the Web Settings > POS Settings > Sunbit Tab. This will then automatically incorporate the Sunbit link into certain patient communications that send out regarding patient appointments.

  • This can be further managed through the web by going to Smart Configuration > Communications.

Q: How do I disable Sunbit if I don't want to offer it?

A: To disable Sunbit:

  1. Go to Settings > POS > POS Settings > Sunbit

  2. Toggle Sunbit to OFF

  3. ⚠️ Note: Only the Main Admin user has access to modify this setting

Q: Can I re-enable Sunbit after disabling it?

A: Yes, you can re-enable Sunbit at any time by going to Settings > POS > POS Settings > Sunbit and toggling it back ON.

Patient Pre-Qualification

Q: How do patients get pre-qualified for Sunbit?

A: Patients can get pre-qualified in two ways:

  • Through automatic email communications that include the Sunbit pre-qualification link

  • Via a direct pre-qualification link you send from their patient wallet (on the Web or App)

Q: Do patients need to be pre-qualified before using Sunbit at checkout?

A: No, pre-qualification is not required to check out with Sunbit. However, pre-qualifying before the appointment makes the checkout process faster and smoother.

Q: How long does pre-qualification last?

A: Pre-qualification amounts expire after 28 days

Q: Where can I see if a patient is pre-qualified?

A: Pre-qualified amounts appear in the patient's wallet within Aesthetic Record. You'll see the approved amount with an expiration date.

Q: Is the Sunbit link included in text messages?

A: No. The Sunbit pre-qualification link is not automatically added to SMS communications. However, you can manually add it to your text message templates if desired.

A: The standard message reads: "Our Practice offers easy and accessible payment plans powered by Sunbit. Get pre-qualified for financing today." The "Get pre-qualified for financing today" text functions as a hyperlink to your clinic's Sunbit pre-qualification page.

A: Yes. You can cancel a pending Sunbit payment anytime before the patient completes the process through their link. This can be done through both the Web and App directly within the invoice itself.

Q: Is there a minimum amount required for Sunbit financing?
