How to create an eGift card via the website, sell an eGift card via app or desktop terminal, resend an eGift card via email.

A. Create an eGift Card via the Website

1. 1. Log in to AR on the web.

  1. Go to Settings gear on the upper right corner

  2. Click POS on the left

  3. Click on eGift Cards

  4. Click on ADD EGIFT CARD BUTTON

2. 1. Fill in the details and your eGift Card will be ready for purchase at the checkout via the app or on your online booking page.

  1. Price: the cost the patient pays for the eGift Card.

  2. Value: how much the gift card is worth (For example, if you are running a holiday special: spend $100 on a gift card, get a $150 gift card.)

  3. Validity: does your eGift Card expire or not?

  4. Policy: nonrefundable/nontransferable? Add in the details of your eGift Cards.

  5. You can also choose to make this eGift Card available for Purchase on your Booking page or not by checking the box.

Alert: You have to preconfigure all of your eGift Cards. A patient cannot create their own eGift Card for a specific amount on your website. They will need to call the clinic if they do not see an amount they are looking for.

B. Sell an eGift Card to the Patient via the AR Mobile App or Online Booking Page

3. 1. From the app, open the side menu (3 lines in the top left corner)
2. You will see a button eGift Cards right above the Take Payment button

4. 1. Select the eGift Card they want to purchase and tap Buy Now.
2. Choose the patient who is buying the gift card or do a Guest checkout.
3. You have two options when sending a gift card: Send Instantly - OR - Send on a Future Date.
4. Upon buying, the patient purchasing gets a copy of the Invoice and the gift card receiver gets an email that includes the eGift Card redemption code.

5. Patients can also purchase an eGift card through the "Gift Cards" tab on your clinic's booking page and patient portal.

Tip: If you would like eGift cards to be available for online purchase, make sure the "Gift Cards" box is checked in the web configuration tab. (Appointments>Wrench Icon>Smart Configuration>Booking Portal>Web Configuration)

C. Redeem an eGift Card for the Patient via the AR Mobile App or Desktop Terminal on the Web.

6. Add products/services/etc to cart as usual.

  1. Tap Checkout

  2. Tap Select Payment

  3. Gift Card

  4. Enter the 16 digit redemption code

  5. Charge

  6. A patient can use the entire eGift card amount in one transaction or they can use it over multiple visits.

Alert: Important note: Once a partial payment is collected for an invoice, you'll no longer be able to redeem an Egift card.

7. If an invoice is marked for Front Desk Checkout, you can head to AR via the web and click on the Sales tab at the top > Desktop Terminal to complete it.

  1. Hit Action>Checkout.

  2. Click on Payment Methods.

  3. Select eGift Card.

  4. Input the 16 digit eGift card number & click Apply.

D. Resend the eGift Card to the Recipient via the Website

8. If your client lost access to the email that contains the 16 digit code, you can resend it to them.

Log in to AR on the web.

Click on Business Insights > Sales > Payments and Liabilities > eGift Card Revenue.

9. Filter the date and/or clinic. Look up the egift card and hit Resend Email. The recipient will receive the eGift card via email. All they need to do to redeem it for their treatment is present the redemption code. If the Recipient's email address was entered incorrectly, simply copy the Redemption Code and send it to the recipient.
