Activate your eFax integration and start sending and receiving lab requests and other documents inside of AR.

Enabling Your eFax Number

1. Begin in the Aesthetic Record web-based Command Center

Navigate to the Settings wheel, and then select Integrations

2. Choose eFax from the menu options.

3. To activate the integration, toggle on eFax.

4. First, let's set up your Practice eFax Number. Start by selecting your preferred area code. Upon completing the full page setup, AR will generate an eFax number for you using the area code you choose.

Please Remember: There will be a $5 fee added to your monthly subscription bill from Aesthetic Record when eFax is enabled.

5. You can scroll through the list of available area codes to choose from in this section. If you do not see your preferred area code, try selecting one that is in close proximity to your location if preferred! A search function is coming soon.

6. Next, choose the allotment of page credits you would like to add to your plan to get started. In subsequent steps, we will discuss billing in more detail, but as you choose your starting credits, please note, an individual page is $.12, but we've applied a multi-page discount when pre-purchased.

  • Monitor eFax page/credit usage under Settings > Billing > Resource Usage

  • Update Auto Refill settings under Settings > Billing > Subscriptions

7. When you are ready, click Purchase Number and your eFax integration will be active!

As soon as you finalize the purchase, you will see your new eFax number on the screen. You have the ability to copy the eFax Number from here when needed.

Managing Your eFax Subscription

8. To view and manage your eFax subscription and refill settings, navigate to Settings > Billing > Subscriptions.

9. In the Subscription Details section, you will see the $5 monthly eFax fee, as well as the opening page credit purchase.

Please remember the $5 fee is billed each month when eFax is turned on. The Add-on eFax credit amount is separately billed based on consumption.

10. The Auto Refill Settings section below is where you can manage the refill page and price amount when you reach your allotment. We recommend you keep the toggle to the right ON, so that AR can automatically refill your credit amount if you go below 10 pages/credits left in your plan. This prevents any disruption in sending eFaxes. If you turn it OFF, you will need to manually refill your credits each time you run out, which will prevent any eFaxes from being sent until more credits are purchased.

Checking Resource Usage

11. To check your sent/received log & overall page usage, navigate to Settings > Billing > Resource Usage.

You will see a new usage chart, eFax Page Usage. This metric will show you what you've used so far that month and any remaining pages from either the initial signup or auto-refill function that have been paid for and not used.

12. You can also check your eFax Usage Log on the Resource Usage page. You can see the number of pages per fax and the status of each one.

13. Should you need to disable the eFax Integration, you can do so by going to Settings > Integrations > eFax, and switch the toggle to off.

14. Keep in mind, if you disable the eFax Integration, you will lose your current eFax number. If you choose to reactivate the eFax Integration again, you will be assigned a new number.
