Understanding The "New Patient Report"
Understanding The "New Patient Report"

Track New Patients to your clinic locations, and overall account via Business Insights Reports and the Provider Dashboard.

Updated this week

New/Returning Patients Dashboard Widget

1. From the Web, click on Dashboard across the top.

2. The New/Returning Patients Widget is viewed through the Provider Dashboard tab.

3. After choosing Provider, scroll down and on the right you will see the New/Returning Patients widget.

4. To view a certain date range you can use the date selection tool in the upper right hand corner.

5. From there, the specific clinic locations in your account that have had any new or returning patients during that time will show in the widget.

If any clinics are not showing, this means there were not any new or returning patients that received a service during that window of time.

"New Patients This Month" Report

6. Let's view the report in Business Insights now.

At the top of your browser, click Business Insights.

7. Locate Patients/Clients on the left.

8. From there click Create report.

9. Toward the bottom of the report options, you will see New Patients this Month.

You will also see Returning Patients this Month located directly beneath, which gives you the same information for patients that have been back for an appointment during the chosen time frame.

10. This report will only show you a month by month, so if you are wanting to view larger date ranges at once, use the Provider Widget that we looked at above for a compiled number as well!

Choose the date and year then click Continue.

11. You'll see this report gives the Patient name, email, phone number, and their last recorded visit at your practice.

You can filter further here, by all clinics or a specific clinic location.

If you need to edit the date range, you can click Edit to do so.

12. Save Report will prompt you to give this specific report a title (i.e. New Patients 02/25) and when you are back on your Patients report page, you'll see this new report showing.

13. From here, you can always click back into the report to view/download as needed-- and if you ever need to edit the report to resave, or delete reports, you can do so on the right.

If you need to reorder the list of your reports, use the 3 dots on the left of the report title and click + drag up or down to replace the location within the list.
