This guide provides a step-by-step process for configuring Affirm Client Communications, ensuring that your appointment system is optimized for both in-person and virtual bookings.
Setup Your Appointment Confirmation & Reminder Messages
1. Head to the Appointments tab.
2. Click the settings wrench.
3. Click Smart Configuration
4. Click Communication
5. Click In-Person Booking
6. You will want to copy and paste the Affirm Snippet including the brackets.
7. What you will see on your email template is just the snippet.
8. When the client gets the email, it will look like the below snippet. If you want to change up the verbiage, you can, just type it in manually versus using the snippet.
9. Click Save to finalize.
10. Click Text Messages to add to your text messages.
11. Click in the SMS field, and add the same Affirm snippet. Again, it will not show the full verbiage here.
12. Patients will see the full verbiage when they get the text message. Just like in email, if you prefer to customize the message, you can, just type the message versus using the snippet.
13. Click Save to save it!
14. Don't forget to do the same thing for your Virtual Booking communications
15. And for your In-Person Reminders
16. And Virtual Reminders!
Keep in mind, you will not see the pre-approved amounts from Affirm. The link you send with your communication will get them signed up and pre-approved, but you will have to ask Patients whether or not they have Affirm!
