Part 1: Purchasing a Card Reader
Access the Hardware Store
Log in to your Aesthetic Record dashboard.
Click the gear/settings icon in the top right to open Settings.
Under AR Pay / POS, select Hardware Store.
Select Your Products
Browse the available readers (Stripe Reader S710, S700, M2, and BBPOS WisePOS E) and click Learn more on the device you want — for example, the Stripe Reader S710.
Click Learn More on the item you would like to purchase. Review the product details, including what's included in the box (charging cable, reader, power adapter), then click Add to cart.
If you'd like accessories — such as the Stripe S700/S710 Dock, Hub, or Case — select Learn more on the accessory and click Add to cart.
Checkout
Click View cart to review your selections.
Click Checkout to proceed to payment.
Enter your shipping information, shipping method, and payment details, then click Pay.
Click OK to confirm your order. You'll receive a confirmation email with shipping details.
Track Your Order
Navigate to Hardware Store > My Orders at any time to check the status of your order (Pending, Shipped, etc.) and view order totals and shipping addresses.
Part 2: Configuring Your Card Reader
Once your reader arrives, you'll need to attach it to the correct clinic in your POS settings before it can be used.
Go to Settings > AR Pay / POS > POS Settings.
Find the clinic you want to assign the reader to and click Card Readers.
Click Attach Card Reader.
Choose the connection type:
Bluetooth Card Reader, or
WIFI Card Reader
Enter the reader's registration code (found on the device) and click Save.
Confirm the reader now appears in your Card Readers list with a status of Assigned. If the device supports cellular, you'll also see its cellular status listed as Active once connected.
Part 3: Billing for Your Card Reader
Cellular Connectivity Fees
Select readers, like the Stripe S710, support cellular connectivity so you can take payments without relying on office WiFi.
Cellular-enabled devices carry a optional $10/month cellular fee that is added to your account's regular subscription invoice.
This charge applies per device with cellular activated, and follows your account's existing billing cycle
Viewing Your Charges
Go to Settings > Billing > Subscriptions to see your current plan, billing cycle, and cellular amount included in your plan.
Click Invoices to view your full billing history, including your Total Due and a list of past invoices with their status (Draft, Paid, etc.).
Click into any individual invoice to see itemized details — including cellular fee charges and applicable tax.
