Instant Bank Payments work identically to a credit card in regards to speed, payouts ,refunds, etc The only difference is they can only be used through online payments (Online Booking or Text2Pay) and if the client does not have a bank account connected to their LINK platform, they will need to connect it 1 time to be able to use it indefinitely.
1. For in practice payments, start with a checkout screen from iOS or the web. For online booking, bank payments will be an option at the checkout screen, and if they choose to use it, the Patient flow shown below will apply.
2. Select Text2Pay
3. Follow the normal Text2Pay flow
4. Client gets the Text2Pay link on their phone
Tip: If the Patient has never used LINK or LINK with Bank Payments, they can either add their Bank directly into the checkout screen using the verification process and authenticate it for one time use or they can add it to their LINK account, and it can be used anytime they pay with LINK. LINK is a universal digital wallet, so it can be used anywhere that accepts Stripe!
5. If they do not already have a Link account, they will see a default screen to Credit Card, Klarna (if turned on) or Bank
6. To use Instant Bank Payments, they will select Bank, and go through the secure process to add a bank account to LINK. Once they do this once, it will be saved on their Link account forever .
7. Clients can add more than one bank account to their LINK profile. They simply click to continue adding more options!
8. Alternatively, if they have a LINK account, they can click to sign in with LINK if it does not default them to that page - in many cases, if they have paid at some point with LINK's online wallet and the email matches what we have in AR, it will auto log them in.
9. When LINK is pulled up, it may default to a different payment type. If they already have a bank account connected, they can choose from their drop down. If not, they can click Add a New Payment, and complete the steps to enroll their account.
10. Once it's on tied to their account, they choose their bank as the payment method. Next time they log in, they just click their bank as the option - no need to reverify each time.
11. Click Pay!
12. And as soon as it's done (usually 1-3 seconds), the AR will be notified. It is equivalent to a credit card transaction made with Text-2-Pay.
13. Invoice is paid, and Instant Bank Payment is the method.
14. You will now see Instant Bank Payments listed as a payment method in Business Insights Sales Summary
15. You will also see it in the Payment Method Report
16. You can track your Stripe payout of Instant Bank Payments via the POS Reconciliation Report. You will see a new method listed as Instant Bank Payment. As part of this new feature, we've also added tracking for Sunbit & Klarna.
